Instant Simple Streaming
This walkthrough demonstrates the easiest way to use Switchpro on your device. If you haven't already, go ahead and create a broadcast (we suggest in a new tab so you can follow along here).
Is your broadcast created? Cool! Let's go!
After you create your broadcast, you will land on the broadcast control screen. Before your broadcast is active, you will have a choice of starting the broadcast immediately, or scheduling it for later. For this walkthrough, we are going to start our broadcast right away, so tap Start Broadcast.
Once your broadcast is started, you will see more options for how to control your broadcast, but for now lets just focus on getting your stream going and published to our Marquee. First off, toggle your broadcast to 'Public' (Your stream will not be visible to anyone else until you take the stage). The timer counting down is how much time you have left to stream your broadcast.
Next, tap the blue camera icon in the upper left of the stream preview window to connect your default camera and microphone on your device.
Once you are streaming and you are happy with how your stream looks, you are ready to go live and enter your chatroom.
Once you choose your nick (nickname) for the broadcast, you will join the chatroom for your stream. Note our helpberbot Switchbot is already in the room . He's pretty boring right now tho ^_^...if you would like to tweet your broadcast at this point, tap the broadcast settings button to bring up the broadcast control sub-menu.
The broadcast menu lets you control or view aspects of your broadcast, like tweeting your broadcast, or your chat id for private chats.
